The Canadian Nuclear Society, the Canadian Nuclear Association, and Natural Resources Canada, in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency, are proud to host the 19th Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC-2014) August 24-28, 2014, in Vancouver, Canada, under the aegis of the Pacific Nuclear Council.
The Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) held biannually, is the premier global nuclear conference and exhibition bringing together senior industry executives, senior government officials, international energy organization leaders, and technical experts from the Pacific Rim and Europe. 500-600 Delegates are anticipated for the Conference. Canada previously hosted this conference at Banff, Alberta in 1998 – one of the most successful PBNCs. The most recent PBNC 2012 was held in South Korea.
PBNC-2014 will (i) showcase the advancement of nuclear technology in power generation, health science, and environmental stewardship, (ii) discuss challenges facing nuclear technology, and (iii) highlight future developments. The conference includes Keynote Speakers, Plenary Sessions, Technical Paper Presentations, and Conference Exhibits. Also embedded in the Conference is the CNS/CNA Student Conference.
Plans have progressed well for PBNC-2014 with more than 300 Abstracts received; many international and Canadian speakers are engaged in the Plenary and Key Note SpeakerProgram and a number of sponsors and exhibitors are participating.
Also, take the opportunity to register before the end of December to qualify for a draw for a full refund on your paid registration.
The theme of PBNC-2014 is “Fulfilling the Promise of Nuclear Technology around the Pacific Basin in the 21st Century”. Authors are encouraged to submit papers on any topic in nuclear technology for oral presentation in technical sessions at PBNC-2014. Papers will be organized in 10 technical tracks.
